Meredith Williamson - Senior Housing

Meredith is the President and co-owner of Choice Senior Services, LLC.  Choice is a senior housing referral agency that was started out of a heartfelt desire to help others navigate the maze of senior housing.  Transitions can be difficult at any age; the stress multiplies with the addition of health concerns and the new vocabulary of senior housing.  Choice offers guidance for those planning down the road and those in transition.

Choice Advisors work with each person to understand their specific needs and concerns, both immediate and down the road.  During the initial consultation, the Advisors will also answer questions and provide information on the various types of housing and the resources for health concerns. 

After the consultation, the Advisor will narrow down housing options based on the individual’s specific needs and preferences.  All homes are pre-screened and prequalified including a review of the public disclosure files (complaints filed against the homes).

Choice Advisors will make the initial contact to the homes, inquiring about vacancies and gathering current pricing information.  Advisors can accompany people on tours, schedule tours for the person, or simply provide information for the person to do it.

Everything is handled comfortably and confidentially.  Choice has no vested interest in any care community.  Guidance is based on the best interest of each person from the information they provide. 

Choice also publishes a Resource Guide with information and articles on senior care, housing, and senior resources in Oregon & SW Washington.  All the services provided by Choice are
free to seniors and their families.

Meredith is also available for group presentations for those who want to learn more about senior housing options.  She and her husband have one son and live in SE Portland.  Meredith is a member of the Junior League of Portland, on the Pro Bono Committee with the Oregon State Bar and volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
